Cacao coffee corner. Best little coffee corner in 1st floor of State Department Store. Highly recommend.

It’s one the large stores in Ulaanbaatar where one can find much of what one’s looking for. Including grocery store, jewel stores, clothing and electronics stores, it can offer a variety if great deal that one wouldn’t find anywhere else. A go-to place for anyone wondering where they would shop.

According to my local fiancé, this building has been renovated due to a fire. I'm not sure what it looked like before, but it looks phenomenal now.

Adorned with luxurious fixtures such as chandeliers and golden elevator doors, it is now celebrating it's 100th anniversary. I suggest placing any bags in the supermarket lockers inside past the jewelry on the 1st floor and then go browsing. This is because you can't just buy things there, you have to pick your items and they give you a ticket to go to another counter to purchase your goods. This is also a great place to exchange money. Very good rates.

You can pretty much find anything you want here, especially great souvenirs. Yes, it may be a tourist trap, but it's hard to navigate alone around Ulaanbaatar and this place makes everything so easy. From jewelry on the 1st floor, to Mongolian souvenirs and books on the top floor, you can do it all. There are electronics and local cashmere as well as foreign brands. Great for either a morning or afternoon trip.

State department store renovation appears to be completed and they are in full operation now. Love the new shoe shop at the second floor.

The delivery was late and the delivery person won't pick his phone up. And when my things finally arrived my chocolates were melt and expired.

Continuous renovations since the fire a few years back, basement opened with larger grocery section but not any wider selection of items, escalators still not working so either lift (not covid friendly) or stairs (free workout!) as options to go between floors.

It is became kind of amazing place after it burns out. I like it. But some service is not properly good

Probably one of the best and most comprehensive spots to find affordable items and souvenirs. The gift shop on the top floor was very nice and newly remodeled due to a fire.

Nomin Supermarket at State Department Store went through major interior changes and opened during Naadam 2021. Now it has 2 floor shopping - 1st with Electronics, Beverages, Toiletries, Skin Car, Body Care, Kitchen and more. Basement Floor with Food, Vegetables and consumables. Cash Counter numbers seems to be less for the crowd visiting SDS. Took me 20mins to get my items billed.

Grocery store on the first floor doesn, t meet the expectation. They never get rid of that small of rotten vegetables. They should stack up their products before opening hours. Its a busy place, but few cashiers work. I dont understand why they changed the location of their checkout area.

Everything is here. Quite expensive but you know. It is very qualified. Pizza hut, Cafe Bene and cinema exist.

Probably the best all-in-one store in UB. Fresh production to clothing to home appliances. Very good quality and prices

6 floors of shopping, anything you'd need is here, including nice Mongolian Souvenirs on the top floor!

If you are in Ulaanbaatar city, you should go shopping here. There are hand made souvenirs and leather bags. Moreover cashmere products which is made in mongolia. You will love it. Supermarket is in first floor.book store is in 6th floor. There are outdoor, children's, shoes, bag, home appliances, mobile phones etc various items.
